Product Processing

  1. Material Verification & Preparation: Certified 6061-T6 aluminum bar, plate, or billet is selected. Material certifications are verified, and the stock is cut to optimized blank sizes to minimize waste.

  2. Advanced Fixturing & Setup: The workpiece is secured using precision vises, custom fixtures, or vacuum chucks on 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC machining centers. Fixturing strategies account for the high speeds used in aluminum machining and ensure access to all critical features.

  3. High-Efficiency CNC Milling (Core Process): Using optimized CAM programming, the machine performs operations tailored for aluminum:

    • High-Speed Roughing: Aggressive material removal using adaptive clearing and trochoidal toolpaths to maintain constant chip load and reduce cycle times.

    • Precision Finishing: Fine finishing passes with sharp tooling to achieve tight tolerances (down to ±0.01mm) and excellent surface finishes (Ra 0.8 µm or better).
