Product Processing

  1. Material Selection & Verification: Medical-grade 316L stainless steel tubing, certified to ASTM A269 or similar standards, is selected. The tubing's ID, OD, and wall thickness are verified to ensure consistency.

  2. CNC Swiss Machining / Precision Milling Setup: The tubing is loaded into a CNC Swiss-style lathe or a multi-axis milling center with a precision collet. This setup allows for simultaneous turning and milling operations along the length of the tube.

  3. Distal Tip Machining (Core Feature): Using micro-end mills and precision tooling, the complex tip geometry is milled. This can create various patented designs like multi-port (Mercedes), single-port, or spatula tips with specific cutting angles and radii to optimize tissue separation and fat harvesting.

  4. Aspiration Port Machining: The side aspiration ports (holes or slots) are CNC milled with extreme precision. Their location, size, shape (round, oval, rectangular), and edge sharpness/deburring are critically controlled to affect fluid dynamics and minimize tissue trauma.

  5. Proximal End Machining & Connection Forming: The proximal end is machined to create connection features, such as threads for Luer-lock hubs or specific fittings to connect to suction tubing and handles. This is often done in the same setup to ensure perfect concentricity.

  6. Intensive Deburring & Polishing: All milled edges, especially inside the ports and the tip, undergo meticulous deburring. The entire cannula, internal lumen and external surface, is then electrophished to a mirror-like finish (Ra < 0.2 µm). This minimizes friction, prevents bacterial adhesion, and facilitates cleaning.

  7. Comprehensive Cleaning, Inspection & Packaging: The cannula undergoes validated multi-stage cleaning (ultrasonic, etc.) to meet biocompatibility standards. 100% inspection includes dimensional checks (CMM), visual inspection under magnification, and functional flow testing. It is then cleanroom packaged, ready for final assembly into a complete device or for terminal sterilization.
