Product Description:

We manufacture precision thread-forming drill bits and hole-opening tools from hardened 17-4PH (H900 condition) stainless steel. These are not standard twist drills; they are engineered tools that combine drilling and threading actions into one operation or precisely prepare a hole for subsequent threading. For bone applications, they feature optimized flute designs to evacuate bone debris efficiently and specific thread-forming geometries on the tip to cut clean, strong threads in bone. For metal machining, they act as form drills that displace material to create threads without generating chips, resulting in stronger threads in ductile materials. Made from 17-4PH hardened to ~45 HRC, these tools offer exceptional wear resistance and durability, maintaining sharpness through multiple uses in abrasive or tough materials. We offer full customization of diameter, pitch, flute length, point angle, and shank type to match specific surgical or assembly requirements.
