وصف المنتج
316L Stainless Steel Experimental Spray Needle with CNC Milled Luer Joint
Product Overview

The 316L Stainless Steel Laboratory Spray/Liquid Jet Needle with CNC Milled Luer Connector is a precision-engineered, all-metal fluidic component designed for demanding experimental and analytical applications. This unit integrates a needle body optimized for liquid spraying or precise jetting with a robust, leak-proof Luer connector, all machined from a single piece of medical-grade 316L stainless steel via精密CNC milling.

The monolithic construction eliminates potential weak points from assembly, while the 316L material provides superior chemical resistance and corrosion stability. The CNC-milled Luer threads (typically Luer lock) ensure a perfect, secure fit with standard laboratory syringes or tubing, making it an ideal, durable tool for controlled fluid delivery in research, chromatography, and micro-dispensing.

Manufacturing Process
  • Material Preparation: A solid rod of certified 316L stainless steel is selected and cut to a suitable blank length.
  • CNC Swiss Machining / Multi-Axis Milling: The blank is loaded into a精密CNC Swiss-type lathe or a multi-axis milling center. The machining process in a single setup includes:
    • Turning: Creating the primary outer diameters and tapers of the needle body and connector base
    • Milling the Luer Threads: Using live tooling, the precise, standardized Luer lock threads are cut onto the connector section
    • Drilling the Internal Lumen: A deep, straight hole is drilled or gun-drilled through the entire length to form the fluid channel
    • Forming the Tip/Orifice: The distal end is machined to form the specific spray/jet geometry
  • Deburring & Internal Polishing: All machined edges are meticulously deburred. The internal bore is honed and/or electrophished to achieve a smooth, contaminant-free surface.
  • Surface Passivation: The entire component undergoes chemical passivation per ASTM A967 to maximize corrosion resistance.
  • Cleaning, Inspection & Marking: Final ultrasonic cleaning removes all residues. 100% inspection verifies critical dimensions. Laser marking is applied for identification.
  • Packaging: Packaged clean and dry, suitable for laboratory use. Can be supplied non-sterile or sterilized.
Applications
  • Analytical Chemistry: Sample introduction needles for GC/MS, HPLC, or ICP-MS requiring secure, metal-to-metal connection and precise spray tip for nebulization
  • Microfluidic Research: Robust interface to connect syringes or pumps to microfluidic chips or lab-built apparatus
  • Precision Dispensing: Laboratory-scale dispensing of reagents, solvents, or standards where secure Luer connection and specific jet profile are needed
  • Spray Characterization Studies: Standardized, durable nozzle for studying droplet size, spray patterns, or jet breakup in fluid dynamics research
  • Chemical Synthesis: Controlled addition of reactants in small-scale or automated synthesis setups
Technical Specifications
Category Parameter Specification / Details
Material Grade 316L Stainless Steel (UNS S31603 / 1.4404)
Certification Material traceability with MTR per ASTM A269/EN 10204 3.1
Construction Design Monolithic (One-Piece). Needle body and Luer connector machined from a single bar
Key Advantage No joints or adhesives; maximum pressure integrity and chemical compatibility
Connector Type Female Luer Lock (Standard, per ISO 80369-7). Male Luer Slip or Taper available
Thread Machining Tolerance Precision cut to ensure smooth engagement and leak-proof seal with standard male Luer lock syringes
Needle Body Outer Diameter (OD) 1.5 mm to 6.0 mm (Common shank sizes)
Overall Length 20 mm to 100 mm
Fluid Path Internal Lumen Diameter (ID) 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm (Customizable, defines flow rate)
Internal Surface Finish Electropolished (Standard), Ra ≤ 0.4 µm
Tip/Orifice Geometry Conical Taper (for jet), Flat Ground Bevel, or Custom Milled Spray Shape (e.g., fan)
Orifice Diameter/Size 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm (Precision ground/milled)
Spray Angle Function of tip geometry (e.g., ~0° for jet, 15-60° for spray)
Performance Pressure Rating Very High. Limited by syringe/pump, not the needle. Typically safe for pressures > 5000 psi (345 bar) due to monolithic design
Chemical Compatibility Excellent resistance to a wide range of acids, bases, solvents, and salts
Flow Characteristics Laminar flow promoted by smooth bore. Flow rate calculable based on ID, length, and pressure
Surface Treatment External Finish Passivated per ASTM A967. Electropolished optional for ultra-smooth exterior
Quality & Identification Inspection 100% Luer thread gauge check. Sample dimensional verification of ID/OD and tip geometry
Marking Laser Etched part number or ID on the connector body
Cleanliness Cleaned for laboratory use, particle-free
Sterilization (Optional) Methods Autoclavable (Standard, 121°C). Compatible with ETO, Gamma, Dry Heat
